Sass Twins Apartment Next To The Basilica S2

The location is great, right in the city centre, 1-2 min from St. Stephen's Basilica. The apartment itself is well equipped (towels, shampoo, soap in bathroom; kitchenware, Nespresso coffee machine with capsules, seasonings, oil and etc.). Host Matteo is very kind and responsive, always ready to help.

A few minor moments that did not spoil the impression: - door shower does not work properly - if you come during cold season, there are no places to put coats and shoes, no clothes hanger

fantastic location to points of interest, restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and transport. - high ceilings - good air conditioning - elevator access - beautiful communal hallway - nice shower, (as long as you find a way to keep the door out of your face)

To preface this review, there will be a lot of text and a tl;dr available. I stayed in this apartment with my wife for 7 nights for just over 500€ Summary (TL;DR) i would not recommend this apartment to people who are light sleepers, prone to anxiety or looking for a city view from the apartment and we would likely not come back based on the comments made within this review. Negatives: - Adjoining door to another apartment which was not disclosed (me and my other half are convinced it is one apartment that they split up for extra income, which is why you feel like others are in your apartment at times due to horrible sound separation) - not city view at all, just a blank wall outside - bathroom is not as pictured in the ad - incredibly thin walls in the bedroom meaning you hear everything in detail from the neighbours - do not sleep here if you suffer from back or neck pain RED FLAG!! now, just before reaching the bedroom is likely one of the biggest red flags we had during our stay. there is a door which connects your apartment to ANOTHER airbnb, where you can see through stained glass if anyone is there. this door is locked, however for the whole week of our break here, we were on edge thinking anyone could come in and enter the apartment feeling incredibly uncomfortable and even somewhat unsafe. If this was actually advertised in the page on booking then we would NOT have booked. we felt insecure the entire time, which was only reinforced by being able to here EVERYTHING happening in the apartment adjoined here. sneezing, coughing and quiet conversations were open to your ears, which meant everything you said was also open. this door is right next to the bedroom, and on the opposite of the bedrooms wall is this other apartments living room. whilst there are rules asking for quiet from 9pm, it does not mean that there will be silence for you. many times when we were sleeping; we could hear almost everything happening as if it was in the same room as us.
