Apartment 6

The apartment was very clean and tidy on arrival. It was well equipped with basically everything we could need for a short stay.

The bedding is awful, it was originally waffle bedding I think but it has been dried and put through a commercial roller on far too high a temp and it is now hard and scratchy. The beds also aren't very comfortable. If we were staying for more than a night or two, we would be exhausted. There is also a coffee shop right outside which had some sort of karaoke going on until the small hours which made sleep very difficult.

Clean, conveniently located

Stale smoke smell throughout the property. Noise from apartment above, people staying there got in around 00:00 and were continuously noisy until 05:30am

It provided what we were looking for... somewhere to sleep for a couple of nights while we attended a family function. The WiFi and TV worked well. The apartment was clean, as was the linen.

The apartment was generally clean but the banister/newel post of the stairs to the basement kitchen, bathroom and second bedroom was sticky (? where the paint was reacting to being held on to over a long period). The stair carpet was very dirty. The kitchen was OK, but the tap at the sink wasn't properly secured - it wobbled and turned when the tap was operated. I was worried that the water pipes might become detached. There was no plug for the sink - we only had a couple of mugs and cereal bowls to deal with so we were able to deal with them. IF we'd chosen to cook ourselves meals, washing up would have been very difficult. As I've said, we chose not to cook - no tea towels were provided... one is limited with what you can do with kitchen tissue! The fridge/freezer didn't appear to work - the fridge light came on but neither part of the unit got cold... even after the fridge control was adjusted to a mid position (just in case it had been turned to an off position). We didn't see any controls for the freezer - luckily providing frozen for ourselves wasn't something we considered. In the bathroom (which was huge) the hand basin was small... barely big enough to accommodate hand washing. There were no surfaces on which to put things. Razors, toothbrushes, deodorants had to be placed back in one's washbag and stored on the floor. The light switch in the basement bedroom was loose on the wall. The decoration throughout the property could do with a little love and attention! Note to owner: Take a day or two to actually stay in the property to discover it's faults and shortcomings.

Apartment was ok

Next door restaurant which is meant to close at 10pm turns into a night club till 6am which made our stay a nightmare with unbearable noise, drunkenness and pp outside the apartment fighting and screaming till 6am.

The apartment doesn’t look at all like in the photograph. It is dark grey paint outside.

We could not even get into the apartment. The host cancelled on the day via email citing problems with plumbing after I had driven 250 miles to get to the apartment. I called them when I arrived. They were incredibly rude and slammed the phone on my ear. Basically made me destitute in a faraway town with my children. Apartment 6 is a scam. I wonder how many are like me having to pay £150 a week before and find they have nowhere to stay. I had to find alternative accommodation.

Nothing really.

The location, the cleanliness, the decor was needing attention, the tap in the kitchen was broken, it didn’t have wifi, no hair dryer when I did borrow from friends next door who also left it blew up on me, the smoke alarm was broken, it was damp, it smelt of weed. The list is endless.
