Lovely clean well equipped

The property was a good location as we have family in patrington. The facilities on site are very good. The site is very quiet and peaceful. The property had everything we needed. We bought washing up liquid and washing up sponges but these were already provided which was a bonus. There was even some loo roll.

The host provided instructions about using the shower which took us a while to figure out as we’re not used to using gas. The evenings were cool but we were unable to figure out how to put the gas fire on so instructions would be useful.

I was nervous about staying away from home with five children one being a newborn but wanted family to meet him the caravan had everything I needed to feel comfortable will definitely be staying again and the location was close to lots of places to visit

Shower was little awkward to use but after messaging owner we manage to figure it out

The beds were comfortable, check out time is good.

I got the keys from the lock box and the lanyard was mouldy so had to remove. Entered the caravan and it smelt of damp. The ornamental flowers were mouldy. The sealant in the kitchen was mouldy as was the oven glove. We ran out of gas but lucky my partner was able to swap the gas bottles over. I know that not everyone would be confident enough to do this. We did let the owner know and they replied a couple of hours later. The shower would only run cold. We spoke to the owner but after following their advice the shower would still not run warm.

It was a great location due to been at a family wedding in the local area.

We had plenty of space in the living room and kitchen for 2 people, though each bed and bedroom was understandable small. It was nicely decorated and all surfaces were clean. We had a guaranteed car parking space and the nearby restaurant was good.

There was a requirement to pay a £50 deposit bond in advance which was written in small print on the Booking.com website. Over a week after our stay, I have yet to receive this back and the host has not responded to any of my messages. This is against the terms of the agreement and at this stage feels like theft. The air quality in the caravan was appalling, it stank of dehumidifier pots like cat litter, presumably trying to mask severe dampness. We opened the windows as often as we could, while in the property, but could not leave them open when we were out for security reasons (house rule). Perhaps the property had been empty for a long time before. It was quite disgusting and spoiled our stay. I don't like to discuss the finances here in public, but the host has not replied to messages since our stay, and Booking.com are not rushing to help me get a refund.
