"Lovely apartment in great location"

9.0

Lovely apartment in a great location, right in the middle of the old town with car parking. The host, Giada was very helpful and quick to resolve a couple of little problems we had.

The tiny cobbled streets around the apartment mean a small car is better than the suv we had. We had a bit of a struggle to access the parking slot.

"Great location, kind host, not very comfortable on hot and humid days"

7.0

Host: Giada was very kind and flexible, as our arrival time kept changing due to car problems. She waited patiently. She responded very quickly to messages and was always available. She cares for the environment and has careful waste/recyclable bins. Parking: there is parking right next to the building. It is best that you have a small/medium car, for easier parking, and to be able to navigate around old towns in Italy (streets were not built with SUV transportation in mind). Location: really close to everything, I'd say central (albeit, it is a small town).

Temperature inside: We happened to travel during a hot and very humid summer period (33 C / 92 F max). The apt does not have climate-control (AC). The host brought in two fans for us for each bed but it is hard to sleep with that noise and the violent air flow even on the lowest setting. After taking a shower, it was better. Windows and doors to the small patio do open, but mosquitoes can come in. Plus, night temperature does not drop significantly in that climate. One night, some neighbors were watching TV till 2 am, loud enough to hear if the window was open, but it was kind of pleasant. Not too loud, gave a nice small-town feel; it depends on everyone's likes/dislikes. Bathroom: It probably says on the description that only liquid soap is provided. I didn't check (expected hotel-like accommodation) and we didn't have shampoo (could not bring on carry-on). I inquired and I was informed that is wasn't provided. We were provided with new soap, though, as the one from the sink was running low. Also, if you plan to do any laundry, you need detergent. One other issue is the shower, which can let water escape, if not carefully aiming the shower head away from the wall with the sink. Depending on who showered, we had more or less water to remove from the bathroom (there is a mop outside the main entrance but no rags - which would be helpful to have in the bathroom).

"Very Good Stay, I recommend!!"

9.0

Very well situated in Stresa, there is a parking available and then you can do everything by foot (or boat :)). The appartment is nice and cozy, you can take your breakfast either in the appartment or in the terrace. The appartement is spacious and clean.

There is no air conditionner and even if there is metal grid on the windows, there is no mosquito net and so no possibility to leave the windows open all night.

"Superb"

9.0

Very pleasant central location with sunny garden. Attentive welcoming owners who quickly sorted out minor problems. My whole visit to Stresa was ruined by the breakdown of OK Mobility rental car with a complete battery failure which made it impossible to move the car from the garage. I spent most of 2 days calling the various OK Assistance services without receiving a valid single return call. Finally a.local friend in Stresa got through to the OK Malpensa office who sent a low loader, but were unable to move the car. I worked in Italy for many years some 25 years ago. I rented many cars at the time but NEVER ever re eived such appaling service. The lack of a serviceable car spoilt my holiday as well as considerably inconveniencing my friends in Stresa. In addition to repayment of a taxi from Stresa to Malpensa I expect some recompense the total lack of care and interest shown by OK Mobility Martyn Bolus
