Salt lodge is perfect. So clean, high quality finish, great location. Owners are nearby if you need anything. 5 min walk to beach, lots of pubs/cafes & takeaways nearby & Tesco local. Thank you David & Ann

"Getaway"

Clean Couple were kind as I arrived to a bottle of Prosecco when I told them it was my birthday

When booking it said dogs allowed but once inside the property the House Rules said dogs could not be left unattended. We wouldn’t have booked if this was known at time of booking

Comfortable and beautiful accommodation. Great location with easy access to restaurants and pubs. Everything needed for a quiet getaway in Mersea. Would definitely recommend.

The Salt Lodge was very cosy, well fitted, clean and a very nice coastal theme throughout to fit with the rest of the island. It's a very short walk to the cost where there are some nice places to eat (we ate at "The Coast Inn" for breakfast which both the food and staff were lovely). The Salt Lodges hosts were lovely too, let code, parking and directions were clear from the off, the welcome was personalised and the WiFi was easy to set up :) would 100% come back again and recommend to friends in future.

Very nicely appointed, all aspects were in very good condition and provided for all my needs. Bed and seating all comfortable, kitchen and bathroom were excellent, shower worked very well.

"We loved our first visit to Mersea, and were impressed by the decor in Salt Lodge."

The Salt Lodge was very stylish, cosy and well equipped with lovely pubs and seafood restaurants close by. The hosts were accommodating but discreet which was perfect. We enjoyed being close to the beach and a few minutes drive from Cudmore Country Park.

We liked it that the appartment was tucked away but it was difficult to find in the dark. We loved the linen and comfy pillows but would have preferred a king-size bed.
