The breakfast was great and plentiful, typical Moroccan style. Hospitality was excellent, so helpful and wanting to share lots of local knowledge. Moroccan people really are the best. Excellent aircon a bonus. Very peaceful location. Slept great. Get your own door key as well.

The only downside for me was the location was a little secluded to get to, I wouldn't stay again if I was travelling solo (I am again this weekend solo). However, I was with my niece so was all good and the internet reception with google maps in the medina is exceptional so you wont get lost.

I loved everything about my stay at Dar Si Hmed. The location is ideal to explore Rabat! The hospitality of Uncle Nasr and his wife Iman is just on another level. They made me feel like home, I felt like I was staying with family from the moment I arrived. They are very kind, I got to try different Moroccan specialties and learnt a lot about Moroccan culture especially around the Eid traditions as I was during Eid Ul Adha. The history of the house is amazing, you can tell a lot of effort has gone into maintaining the house and you feel the passion of Uncle Nasr when he tells you about the architecture of the house and all its gems. A taxi can also be arranged for pick up and drop off to the airport for an extra small fee, which is convenient. I had an early train to catch from Rabat on one of the days for a day trip in another city and Uncle Nasr made sure I had the correct directions to reach the train station. He was also very kind and messaged me later on during the day to make sure I reached my destination safely, little details like that make a big difference.

Wat een geweldig verblijf hebben we hier gehad bij Nasr en zijn vrouw. Dit voelt niet als een hotel overnachting maar alsof je bij hen onderdeel bent van zijn familie. Echt een home away from home. Nasr is super gastvrij en zeer behulpzaam met welke vraag je ook hebt. Het traditionele ontbijt is geweldig en wordt vol met passie en mooie verhalen geserveerd. De locatie in de oude medina is ook perfect: korte wandeling naar het strand, maar ook de bezienswaardigheden. Het ligt op een rustige en veilige plek in het doolhof van de oude straatjes van Rabat. Als we terugkomen in Rabat gaan we zeker weer bij hen overnachten!

Je zou kunnen zeggen dat de privé badkamer en wc een tikkie aan de kleine kant zijn en op de gang liggen maar dat is ook de charme als je voor zo’n accommodatie kiest. Daarbij maakt de warme hospitality dat meer dan goed.

The accommodations exceeded our expectations. The owners were very kind and welcoming, the room was very clean, with fresh towels. An excellent Moroccan breakfast featuring local specialties, along with great coffee and mint tea. Simply perfect.
