Orchard Cottage - Kent

Beautiful location with stunning views, quality furnishings, private, peaceful and clean. Would happily return and recommend.

Given rural location and distance from shops, I would have appreciated some milk to go along with tea that was provided, and an information booklet giving guidance about location of shops and how to control heating etc.The hosts were easily contactable and readily answered questions. Even so, the above suggestions would have been valued and appreciated and elevated my stay beyond what it already was.

Wonderful place. Lodge was very clean and modern had everything needed with the exception of a oven glove! Fantastic location in the countryside, perfect for dog owners, but within easy reach of the local towns. Wish we had booked for longer. 10/10 star for everything.

Location is excellent, in the Kent countryside. The property itself is in a large grassy area, shared with the owner's home and another rental property, but loads of space nevertheless. Beautiful view across a valley to a wood, horses in the neighbouring field. It's also only 10 to 15 minutes from the Channel Tunnel and not much more to the coast. The owner was very helpful too...

I would have given a higher mark but for a couple of issues which need improving. The hob continually locked itself and there is clearly an issue with the unlocking switch - it might work first time, or it might need forty attempts. Should be a quick job for an electrician to sort. Shower is great but drains very, very slowly - it needs a plumber's attention (and, a perennial problem with Kent's hard water, the cleaners ought to descale the shower head more frequently). We also struggled to work out the 'smart' TV. Some additional instructions would have helped. BUT we really liked the place, staying three nights and we'd happily go back. Our dog loved it too!

Het uitzicht over het veld met wilde bloemen is fenomenaal! De tuin is heerlijk om in te zitten en voor de hond om in te spelen. Het huisje is modern en fris, maar toch knus en gezellig. De keuken is compleet en van alle gemakken voorzien. Goede smart tv voorzieningen, een heerlijk bed en goede douche maken het af. De omgeving is fantastisch mooi voor wandelingen, uitdagend om te hardlopen en fietsen!

Dat wij er maar 2 nachten waren. Ik had er met gemak een week heerlijk vakantie kunnen hebben!

We vonden de plek prachtig, heel rustig. Goede bedden, gezellig ingericht. Alles is er wat je nodig hebt

The attention to detail. This property was well equiped for both adults and children, down to the little luxuries such as non-breakable bowls and plates for children up to everything you could need for adults to cook and open a bottle of wine. :-)

Nice quiet location, lovely views from the property. Good base to visit Dover, Folkestone and deal. Friendly helpful hosts.
