Convento do Espinheiro, Historic Hotel & Spa

Gostamos muito do spa e do ambiente do hotel. Staff foi sempre muito atencioso.

No primeiro dia de nossa estadia havia um evento de uma empresa com um grupo grande de pessoas e isso afetou nossa experiencia com barulho até tarde da noite e no café da manhã.

Historical and spiritual environment.

Restaurant not great. Expecting more. Aims to very boutique/gourmet but nothing special, missed flavors specially with the amazing food in Portugal.

Excellent room with a fantastic balcony. The convent’s main sanctuary is still intact and beautifully adorned. All of it’s chapel’s are also intact. There is one skeleton in one of them. The cloister is beautiful and the rooms encircle it. The restaurant/bar food was amazing. We arrived at 9:45pm and were welcomed at the bar for a complete dinner. We ate at Olive, the Italian restaurant, and had some of the best food that we had had for the entire 2 wks that we were in Portugal. The Convento also has an elevator. Additionally, they have a heated pool and a hot tub. They also had an amazing Friday night entertainment with a local Father and his two daughters who sang and played the guitar. They were really amazing and from Evora.

The area outside of our Suite was completely dark this am when we checked out at 5:30AM. The outside area including the parking lot was not lit and made it difficult finding our car.
