Cosy and well-equipped apartment with free parking

We were on a road trip from the UK to Oslo when we suddenly decided to extend our stay and head north to try our luck at seeing the Northern Lights. After checking lots of reviews, we decided to go up to Trondheim and booked this place for three nights — and it turned out to be the best decision ever! We achieved our main goal — we saw the Northern Lights on all three nights from different angles! The host was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. He kept sending us updates on where to spot the aurora and even shared photos he captured while walking his dog. We drove to several places to chase the lights, only to realise the best view was actually right from the apartment’s garden! If you want to see the Northern Lights in Trondheim, this is truly the most magical place to stay. The house was warm, cosy, and comfortable, with everything you need to cook your own meals. Plenty of towels and good-quality bed linen were provided too. After our three-night stay, we drove four hours back towards Oslo before realising I had left my laptop behind! When we contacted the host, he was out for work but kindly returned to check and confirmed it was still there. We drove back, and he even offered us an extra night at a discounted rate — which was so thoughtful. He welcomed us with some beers and drinks for the kids too. That evening turned out to be unforgettable — we witnessed the most spectacular aurora display of our lives right above the apartment! The host even switched off all the outdoor lights so we could enjoy the view at its best. All the photos we took were right from the apartment — it’s honestly the perfect spot to experience the magic of the Northern Lights in Trondheim!

Nothing everything is perfect

Everything was well thought out and very comfortable. The place is clean, nicely decorated, and has everything you need to feel at home.

A minor thing I could say is about the sound quality of the TV. It could use like a small soundbar to improve that.

Sehr schönes großes Wohnzimmer und kuscheliges Schlafzimmer. Bequeme Betten. Ruhig gelegen.

Die Küche ist ein absolutes No-Go . Klein und verschachtelt. Der Sitzbereich mit den Hochhocker und der dazu noch viel zu hohe Tisch sind eine Zumutung. Außerdem ein penetranter Geruch der an aussalpeternde Wände erinnert. Bild ist anbei. Töpfe und Pfannen aus Tefal sind abgekratzt und eigentlich für den Müll und nicht zum Kochen geeignet. Der Tisch aussen vor der Eingangstüre sozusagen auf dem Parkplatz der Autos ist unbenutzbar. Die Stühle defekt und zerrissen. An allen Ecken gibt es in der Wohnung leichte bis mittlere Mängel die der Vermieter mit ein wenig mehr Mühe leicht beseitigen könnte.

Värden visade en stor värme och omtanke vid ankomsten. Hon visade runt och informerade vänligt och sakligt. Lägenheten med ett vardagsrum med 2 sängar och ett dubbelrum gav alla gott om plats. Tvättmaskin var ett plus, liksom parkeringen. Denna lägenhet är väl värd sitt pris och jag rekommenderar varmt denna lugna och avkopplande boendemiljö. Vi kände oss verkligen välkomna!

Köket är litet och trängt men med god vilja fungerar allt väl. Med tanke på pris och standard finns det inte så mycket att klaga på.

It is a calm place nearby the city of Trondheim, the apartment has a well-prepared kitchen, a clean big bathroom and a very cosy sleeping room.

The garbage cans were ful, but I think it was just because the hosts had been on holiday before we arrived, so I think normally this wouldn't happen.
