AUFriendly hostess. Clean room and bathroom
*Right next to a train, so very noisy *No parking. Had to park on other side of street and had dogs almost attack us. * in listing it said we could use dining room and microwave etc, but host sent a message saying it’s an extra charge using the kitchen payable directly to her. *Host family was up till close to midnight talking and we couldn’t sleep. Had to get up 3am for a flight so was very tired. *The front door was a nightmare to try figure out how to open as they didn’t show us how to open it once locked.

CAFriendly family, comfortable rooms.
The bedroom was private. However, be aware that you are sharing the rest of the house with the owners and their family. I felt like I was intruding on a private family gathering at all times. Waking up early for breakfast before our flight and a family member came downstairs just to keep an eye on us… we paid for private accommodation but had less privacy than a hostel dorm.
NZHost warmness and were great to have conversation. Checked on how did our day went upon return to the location, liked that personal touch from host.
NZNZThe Rodrigues were so kind and very hospitable, they were active and kept in touch with us on our way to their beautiful home. They were helpful with places around the area and were very willing to support our stay.
NZThe room was very comfy and spacious, the bed was super comfy, and the room had a gorgeous fragrance.
The shower didn’t drain super well, but that could have been because multiple had used it in the morning.

Only issue is noise went on quite late, around 12, and walls are thin.
DEBest stay we had so far in NZ! A modern, spacious room in a house of a lovely family. Everyone was very welcoming and kind. They really made us feel like part of the family, especially the kids took our hearts. Would stay again anytime!
