Albion Cottage central Falmouth with parking and 10 minutes to the beach

Absolutes KO-Kriterium war das Schimmelproblem im Haus. Sowohl Erdgeschoss als auch Obergeschoss haben Schimmelbefall, der deutlich wahrnehmbar ist. Trotz intensiver Lüftung war der modrige Geruch stets präsent. Der Schimmelbefall ist zudem an mehreren Stellen deutlich sichtbar, darunter Vorhänge, Wände, Ecken Nischen usw. Das Wohnzimmer haben wir zu keiner Zeit genutzt, das Gepäck nur in Teilen im Haus und im Auto gelagert. Der modrige Geruch im Küchenschrank war so präsent, dass wir Geschirr nicht darin gelagert haben. Sehr enttäuschend war Reaktion des Vermieters, das Schimmelproblem sei nicht bekannt und der Geruch könne durch das Reinigungsmittel entstanden sein. Trotz der sofortigen Benachrichtigung erfolgte keine Teilerstattung durch den Vermieter, die Leistung ist in diesem Fall nicht angmessen. Das Objekt sollte so nicht vermietet werden, da auch gesundheitliche Folgen möglich sind. Für uns als Familie war in der Hauptsaison / den Ferien keine Umbuchung auf ein anderes Objekt möglich.

A very traditional little two bedroom cottage. Very well furnished and many helpful things supplied. Radio. Speakers etc Lampshades amazing. Tv was great as football match was on.

All perfect for our two nights/three days visiting our daughter at Uni.

A beautiful house. It was clean, cosy, bigger than i expected - everything I needed. Excellent location. Had its own parking spot which was a real bonus

Maybe could benefit from a blind or something in the lounge as the people in the house across the road seemed to be peering in quite a lot so had to close the curtains

Very nicely decorated, with everything we needed for a short stay. Comfy beds and sofas, well equipped kitchen and cosy feel. Great location for both town and beach.

Because we were travelling with 18 months old twins we noticed things other people may not. Like the kitchen floor needed a deep clean, and under the sofas and bed hadn't been hoovered. We only noticed because the toddlers are all over the floor. The kitchen needs updating with a microwave, coffee machine and washing machine added as an absolute minimum. There's space for a washing machine, but there's a gap with a weird curtain across.

Location was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. Cottage was exactly as described. Very clean, very homely, comfortable and felt relaxed and at ease. Host was very accommodating, we arrived early as traffic was lighter than expected and allowed us to check in a little early so we could freshen up before meeting the rest of the wedding party.

Only thing that could be improved (not really something I didn’t like) is it would be ideal to have a sign on both walls of the driveway as the way we drove in we couldn’t see the sign so missed the cottage. Just some feedback but there is nothing I didn’t like and I would and will 100% be booking to stay later on in the year and have already told so many people!
