"Stunning fail for this host and for Booking.com's failure to resolve the problem"

1.0

The host sent an email less than 48 hours before check-in stating that her room was not available. She did not cancel my reservation through Booking.com but told me that I would need to take care of all the canceling myself. This occurred on the July 25-27th weekend. There was no lodging still available in Seattle for less that $250/night. I ended up sleeping one night in the hostel and the other two nights in my car. The host never cancelled and charged me for the reseervation

"Great place to stay, but further away from town than I thought"

8.0

Overall a nice place to stay - as the listing mentions the room is on the 2nd/3rd floor of the house and is on quite a narrow staircase so moving your bag up can be a bit annoying especially if you're quite tall (above 6ft) and if your bag is heavy! The room itself is quite nice for what it is (being tiny) and no real complaints staying there. There's even Laundry (Washer & Dryer) available which is neat, but I think some others live there permanently (there are 10 rooms in total) so it seems there could be a bit of competition for using it depending on time of day.

My main "complaint" (not really a complaint, simply more an observation in hindsight) is this is quite far away from downtown Seattle if that's where you want to be - it's about 50 mins total to downtown providing you time the bus right which is only once every 30 minutes to then catch the 1 Line train. Wasn't a huge issue for me in the end, but can be an inconvenience especially if you're time short etc. You'll need an Orca card which you can get on Google Wallet or pickup a physical card at a machine at a train station (there's one at the airport if you're flying in)

"Very comfortable stay!"

10.0

My stay here was very good and for the price too! The location was very easy to get to from the airport and even using public transportation was also very easily accessed with having the bus stop be right on the main street. You weren't too far out from the city which was nice. The room I stayed in also was just perfect for me and nice that I had access to the kitchen easily and able to do laundry which was a plus for me. Definitely recommend staying here for solo travelers, I sure will keep this one in the books for future travels.

"A lucky find."

10.0

It costs like a hostel, but you get your own room. It’s a bus ride away from the heart of downtown, and close to the airport. It’s a short bus ride or walk to the 1-line train. There’s a Safeway within walking distance and a convenience store a block away. There’s a full kitchen and laundry and not too much competition for the two bathrooms. The owners are hands-off and trusting unless you violate simple common courtesy. You probably won’t meet them.

I’m tall, and some of the doorframes and thresholds aren’t.

Very nice room at a reasonable price. You can tell thought has been put into it so that even though it is small you have everything you need in there.
