Modern 3 BR Apartment close to Paceville and Beach

Apartment is beautiful, very spacious, clean, and decorated to a very high standard. It is close to a main bus stop so access to the rest of the island is good, although the bus stop gets so crowded you won't always be able to get on the bus. Close to shops and a supermarket. Good wifi and a Smart TV with Netflix

Beds are cheap sponge & extremely uncomfortable. Pillows were worse, one was just stuffed with cutup bits of fabric. Requested extra pillows which was confirmed, but there weren’t even enough pillows for each bedroom let alone extra. Host told me he only prepared 2 of the 3 bedrooms as we were 2 adults & a child so assumed we were a married couple & a small child. We weren't & if I have paid for a 3 bed apartment all 3 rooms should be prepared for use. Right next to a major intersection so extremely noisy day & night. I think it is a drag strip or close to one as there were racer cars & super bikes that roared by constantly as well as buses/trucks/lorries/police sirens all the time. The area is very built up & very rundown compared to the rest of the island. The nearby beach is dirty & unkempt. Communication with the host was very poor. We were stranded at the airport as he was refusing to let us check in without seeing our passports AHEAD of arrival. I spoke to Booking.com while at the airport & they confirmed hosts are not allowed to request personal details before arrival. I told Alex I would show him our passports on arrival but he started ignoring my messages/calls, & Booking.com’s calls who also tried to contact him. He claimed he had sent me a booking form, which was a lie & he couldn’t show me the form he was supposedly sent. He also claimed I hadn’t called him showing me his phone quickly, but I managed to reach out & scroll down & reveal my missed call. He then stuttered something about not having his phone at that time (you have guests due to check in, why would you not have your phone with you??). He kept us standing on the pavement while he told me I was causing a problem & trying to educate me about hotels/apartments/ID. NO hotel emails you ahead of your stay to ask for photos of your passport. You show your ID on check in & get your key.

Hosts were super - very helpful. Very clean. Convenient location.
