Stable Cottage, Old Mill Farm, Cotswold Water Park

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Stable Cottage in Old Mill Farm, located in the enchanting Cotswold Water Park, and my experience was nothing short of exceptional. The cottage itself exudes charm and character, blending the rustic appeal of a traditional Cotswold property with modern amenities for a comfortable stay. The interiors are tastefully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The attention to detail is evident in every corner, from the cozy furnishings to the thoughtful touches that add to the overall ambiance. The hosts at Old Mill Farm were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was enjoyable.

The living quarters were great and well furnished The beds were comfortable The patio was pleasant The cat was friendly !

The ensuite was cramped and frankly inadequate. The shower wasn't suitable for a disabled person and there was no means of drying a hand towel, let alone a bath towel. The kitchen was also cramped and two people couldn't use it together, which is part of the holiday fun .Also the equipment was rather basic.

The accommodation has a good layout and fitted throughout to a high standard. It meets the needs of all types of visitors. It is excellent value for money. Would highly recommend it to others.

I had a wonderful stay at Stable Cottage. It is in a beautiful location surrounded by fields with the River Thames on the doorstep! Alison and her family were very friendly and helpful. It was a bonus being able to feed the orphaned lamb and being shown around their farm. The location was peaceful but not too far from all the many lakes in the area, which were easy to get to even on foot. The cottage was clean and comfortable. I’ve stayed in many self catering accommodation and this is by far my favourite one.
