Huntingdon 5 bedroom 4 double beds, off road parking close town centre

- Owner was quick to respond to questions - The garden - The location : in walking distance of town center, parks, convenient for pets.

- Lack of equipment - No bins in bathrooms - a bit outdated - Some of the beds were not very comfortable.

Getting into the Property was easy with the Key Safe. Considering the size of our Party as such, there was plenty of room in the Property. Property was well presented and equipped and all communications with the Host was easy and with quick responses. We didn't need to cook because we where out all day, and it was in a good location so that we could get to Peterborough easily during our stay.

The mattresses were dreadful, so bad in fact that our entire group cut short their stay by 1 night. Both of the double room beds were lumpy & we were aware of every spring & the single beds were no better. Even the 5yr old with us said she was uncomfortable. The kitchen was lacking in basic things like a sieve, grater, salad bowl & servers-we ended up serving a salad in the wok as there was nothing else to use. Only 8 large & small plates & cereal bowls which given there were 8 of us meant having to hand wash things if you needed to use a couple of extra things. There was no plug for the sink & neither was there a washing up bowl making any washing up extremely difficult & the washing up sponge was quite frankly rank! Altogether a general lack of useful cooking utensils. The symbols on the oven controls were virtually unreadable so it was guesswork as to temperatures & setting i.e grill, fan oven etc. There were only 6 dining chairs for 8 people so we had to bring in 2 from the garden & also not enough lounge chairs for 8. The mechanism of the plugs in the hand basins did not function so we had to prise them out each time. The en suite shower cubical must at some point have had a door but this had been replaced by a cheap rail & shower curtain. Finally, more than half of the rooms in the house had bare lightbulbs, rather reminiscent of student accommodation
