Serenity View- FirePit, Game Room, Community Pools

It was a pleasant experience. There was plenty of space for our family of 10. The property was comfortable and cozy. We enjoyed the deck and were amazed to find that we seen at least one bear each day. Our last day, we seen 5 total, including one mama and 2 babies! It was a true Smoky Mountain Experience.

The driveway to the property was VERY steep and a little intimidating at first. Also, were unable to go swimming because we couldn’t locate the pool passes inside the property. We contacted management and they were prompt to respond and did their best to get someone to us with replacements but did not receive them in time.This was our only real disappointment.

The view was spectacular. There was a beautiful big bear that came to visit us. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was furnished enough for me to cook 3 meals for 8 people. The game room was so much fun! Beware, do not leave food in your vehicle! We have bear paw marks on our vehicles.

The steps up to the property would be a lot for someone not in shape. There was a hole at the bottom of the cage for the trash. The bears got into it. We cleaned it up though.

Great location, beautiful property with a lot of potential.

Serenity View, in Gatlinburg turned out to be a frustrating experience. Multiple small issues with the property. Ice maker on the freezer wasn’t working , water dispenser was agonizingly slow, damaged walls throughout the property, loose doorknobs barely secured to the doors throughout the home, and a filthy, damaged coffee maker, to name just a few. Every time I sent them a message about anything through the chat feature, they would ask me to go through a time-intensive process to send a picture (I had to try thirst through the chat, then over a cell phone number, and finally had to email them, and there were easily a dozen pics.) Then they would ask me to trouble shoot it myself (including pulling the refrigerator away from the wall to check the water line), thank me and promise to make it better for the next guests. I felt like their employee. One of the grossest and most annoying issues was that the coffee maker literally had dirt and bugs all over the inside of the water reservoirs, almost as if if had been left outside. We let them know the first day and they promised to clean it that day while we were out. They did not. When I pointed this out, they apologized and said they would make a note for the cleaners. Great. I just cleaned it myself as best I could. Halfway through the stay, I told them I couldn’t in good conscience give them a five star review at that point in the stay. They asked what they could do to make our trip better. I gave them a couple of suggestions. They said, essentially, “Thanks for the suggestion. We’ll do that for the next guests.” LOL. It felt a bit like the twilight zone. It also felt very much like they cared way more for the next guests than the current ones. It was a shame. It was a beautiful property in a great location. I tried to give them as many chances as I could to offer solutions and remedies. It’s just poorly managed with patronizing customer service.

Proximity to local attractions was excellent. The cabin was very clean with plenty of bedrooms. They provided everything we needed for our stay and each room had its own TV with great channel options.

The drive up to the cabin was probably my least favorite part with it being so steep but that's on me for not realizing exactly how high in the mountains we were actually going to be. Parking was a little tight given the slope of the driveway but we made it work. We also couldn't get the arcade game to work the entire time we were there but the hosts did try to help us via phone communication and the kids really enjoyed the pool table in its stead.
