House on Avenue of the Giants, Miranda, California

There was lots of room. The caretaker started a fire in the fireplace insert before we got there. There was plenty of firewood.

The carpet throughout was filthy! It was unbelievable that the house was made available to the public with such disgusting carpet. It still turns my stomach to think about it. The toilet in the main bath clogged immediately necessitating everyone to use the master bedroom bathroom. The house has been abused for many years and patched back together with caulk and bad paint jobs. The grounds were cluttered with junk including a car on the lawn which overwhelmed any natural beauty.

Location, Location, Location! Low priced and Spacious.

Driveway is treacherous to say the least. Kitchen was not properly stocked for cooking (had to buy a few things in Fortuna (coffee maker, coffee cups,tongs, egg pan, roasting pan <we left a couple things there>). Property has broken down vehicles in the yard. Home maintenance was not done properly. Lots of issues in bathrooms ie: shower doors put on backwards, sink in guest bathroom sprays everywhere when you turn on, floor in guest bathroom is VERY SOFT! No heat other than wood stove in living room (they do give you space heaters for the bedrooms). Not enough blankets for the beds.
