Unit A9, Adorable holiday unit with stunning views

Paul has this unit set up very well and I think some previous reviews have been unfair. The kitchen has everything you could possibly want. The unit was clean and comfortable. Two bedside lights is always good! The outlook across the golf course to the striking hills is brilliant. The pub is close by if you don’t want to self cater.

Perhaps two outside chairs would be good.

was hard to find the door to get it.

Location convenient to Otematata Wetlands for birding.

I specifically requested "ground floor with parking at the door". Paul replied saying parking was close, with a 20 second flat walk. This was a 65 second walk for me with no luggage, to the allocated unit A9, as I have mobility issues, the reason I requested close parking. Also my car was out of site of my room. I don't need disability access parking or units, but I do struggle moving my gear and luggage with this sort of distance from my car. So my request was ignored and I was sent false information. Had I known the walk to the room was that far I would have not booked. Seems they are so desperate for bookings they disregard what people need to have a pleasant experience. You can't tell from google aerials how the parking is allocated (it isn't). There is no point in acknowledging special requests then not following up on them.

Was not told what unit we were in. Paul didn't answer phone. Went to pub to see if they could help (lovely but couldn't). Finally were told unit. Assaulted by a vanilla reed diffuser when we entered. Put it outside and and aired room for an hour. Kept moving it further away. Ended up putting in golf course. And then there were the DIRTY glasses and the Tiny bathroom
