"Average at best. Definitely not 'Boutique'"

The cooked breakfast was actually not too bad, a bit greasy. But the continental breakfast table was pretty poor. Fruit bowl was a few sorry looking apples. The OJ appeared to be fizzy....

The bed was too small, I had to sleep diagonally. I'm only 5foot9! The shower head was at shoulder heigt, so I had to duck down to have a shower. The room was absolutely freezing. I had to put an oil radiator and fan heater on to warm it up.

The decor of the downstairs cafe which was closed.

We will start with the fact we booked the Presidential Suite. We were informed on arrival that it was not ready, the builder had taken too long to complete the work, therefore the images we had seen were not of the room. I did receive an email the day before informing us that there was a £5 per night parking charge but no mention of the lack of room. No discount for a standard family room but we were offered two draught drinks, but these were not taken as there were no staff at the empty bar. The general manager did say he would sort something but that hasn't happened. This was supposed to be a treat for my wife's birthday. The breakfast was mixed, nice bacon, hash brown and beans. The sausage was like those battered ones from a chip shop, there was a higher meat content in vegan sausages. The mushrooms were so over cooked there was a puddle of the black bitter liquid from them and the fried eggs yolk was so hard they were dry. Never been this disappointed in a place before.
