Newly Renovated Ilikai Marina Studio - Near Beach!

The location was perfect, near beach and bus stops, shops etc. Kitchen was really good, with the oven and big fridge. Good pillow and toiletries. The staff and the security person were really helpfull and polite.

The bed was oldish. Views were not nice at all. The kitchen was a bit small. The hardest part was to find the room and how to do check-in. And the biggest minus was the renovation, all the noice, drilling etc starting at 8am. The balcony was out of use and we needed to keep the curtains closed because they were renovating our floor and our balcony. Also, there was a bad smell at the hallway.

Very clean and moderately close to the beach which is perfect.

The construction was on top of our room, besides that and parking.

Fast response and actions from host. The room was nice and spacious. Beds were comfortable. Extra towels, pillows, and blankets were provided we loved that. We also loves that there was a full kitchen to use and that beach chairs were provided. There was a ABC Superette right across the street. As well as a Mcdonalds right across from it and in that same plaza Da Hi Brew was our favorite place to get coffee. The Hilton Hawaiian Village was a Hotel away. A good walking distance and place to roam around, shop, eat and go to the beach.

The tv was broken the first couple nights, contacting the host wasn't a hassle they tended to the problem immediately. It took them a couple days to fix it though. Like all the other reviews on this room, the Bathroom vent is very loud, and so is the refrigerator. The refrigerator makes a loud noise from the freezer part and it did make it hard to sleep some days. Parking is pricey. I mean it is expected but still pricey, although it is cheaper than most in Waikiki. Also a lady yelled at me, I'm guessing she works at the property. But, I guess some other resident threw some bread off their lanai and it so happens as I walked out to mine she assumed it was me who did it and yelled at me for it.

We stayed on the 12th floor for a total of 11 nights. The new flooring and furnishing made the condo feel pretty and fresh. We requested extra pillows and blanket before our arrival and were accommodated. The customer service representatives through the text portal were all amazing and friendly. Nice variety of pillows. The bed was comfortable, though if you don’t stay on your side it sinks in the middle. The couch was really comfortable. The pull out bed was to be expected because I don’t think we’ve stayed on a pullout mattress that actually feels really comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. Having a full size fridge was so great. We did 99% of our meals there. We really appreciated the room having 2 Tommy Bahama beach chairs, small cooler and beach towels.

The car parking attendants were usually very rude and unfriendly. Midway through the bathroom sink wouldn’t drain, we went to bed with the sink full and woke up with it still full. The bathtub drained but not great. The kitchen pots are very cheap and thin. About a week in we started noticing baby cockroaches in the kitchen sink or on the floor. No pool or lounge area is disappointing. It’s confusing when booking because there are a few different Ilikai buildings that all seem to have pools and extra amenities but ours just had a laundry room.

Location was perfect! Not so far from Waikiki, walking distance to Ala Moana Mall and beach!

Small inconvenience upon checking in, code given was not working however team made sure to correct this right away. Fan in bathroom really loud.
