"Beautiful cottage - Invasive host"

A beautiful cottage decorated to a high standard with all the facilities you would need for an enjoyable stay. It was very clean throughout and the beds were very comfortable. My parents were really impressed with this place.

We were having a wonderful stay until our second evening. Whilst out with my parents and our friends, I received a text from the host which read 'It has been brought to my attention that more than 4 people have been coming in and out of the property. Just want to remind you that the property is only suitable for 4 people and that's what the booking was made for. Harry". I booked the property to take my parents to Bewdley. We have friends that live I Button Oak and they had offered to take us out for the evening, so they picked us up from our cottage and yes, they did come inside. I did not realise that Harry had been recording each time we entered and left the property via a Blink door bell. We found this text very immature and invasive. When you talk about building trust and transparency between a host and a guest, I think Harry has much to learn. My mother and wife did not feel comfortable going back to the property knowing that they were being recorded. I did ring Harry to express my disappointment on receiving such text however he was unapologetic, showed no empathy and just spoke about 'insurance purposes' and that 'it was just a warning'. It's a real shame as we were all really enjoying ourselves up to this point. To add on to the previous review regarding parking, we were disappointed with this too. There is free parking however, it's luck of the draw if you get a space near the property and if you are unable to, it's a tough walk with cases.

The location and the cleanliness. The cottage was well equipped and the hot tub was a nice touch.

The name clearly states “and parking”. we had to park up the hill and around the corner and was a bit of a walk with our bags. Regardless of this it was a beautiful property and we would definitely book again.
