ELEN INN - Malapascua Island Air-conditioned Room1

I enjoyed myself at Elen Inn, and I spent nearly a month there. The room is very clean and spacious, comfortable mattress and pillows, aircon is new and very quiet. Regular cleaning and changing of bedsheets. The garden is a nice to look at through the window. The reviews that mention the surrounding area beeing a bit challenging is not untrue. It just depends on the sensitivity of the individual. Yes, there is rubish on the way to the property, yes the houses are humble, but there are no safety concerns. On the contrary, the kids greated me with hi5's and the puppy dogs cheered my day.

The kitchen area could be improved and kept cleaner, but it is an outdoor kitchen, called "dirty kitchen" in the Philippines... Eating out is affordable, so no problem for me.

Very nice place to stay in Malapascua. Staff are very friendly and ready to help you with everything you need. The room is spacious, confy and very clean. The location is great and close to all shops, beaches and markets.

The Elen Inn was quiet and the manager/owner was super helpful and friendly. My girlfriend was traveling solo and he gave her a tour of the island and took her places when he had the time to. I cannot express my appreciation enough for the care and attention he offered to my girlfriend on her first visit to the Philippines.

There was no food. Only hot and cold water to drink. You would help yourself to provide food since the location is just remote enough to make getting food difficult. Also, the road in and out was really dark at night, and my girlfriend felt she could not go out after dark because of the animals she might encounter or that she was afraid she might get hit by a motorcycle. More lights and safer access would help the location. Also, her room was only cleaned once during the week she was there. More attention needs to be paid to cleaning services.

Huge and nice room and nice clean bathroom. You also have a small space where you can sit outside of the room.

It’s hard to find the place, especially at nights with no public illumination. You have to go through some private property and the entrance is a bit confusing because it’s in between some trees and old construction.

Water pressure in shower wasn't the best.

Staff are nice and friendly. The room is spacious and clean. Bathroom is also spacious. Strong wifi. Bed is comfortable. There is also a shared kitchen and free drinking water.

The aircon is not enough to cool the room. Having a fan in the room would be better.
