Paradigm Court, Modern 1-Bedroom Apartment, Oxford

The apartment was nice and spacious. The bed was so comfortable! I was very impressed how well equipped the kitchen was, so we made a couple of unexpected meals.

The sofa wasn’t particularly comfortable. Also, the light never came on as we entered the building so it was very dark and we had to walk up the stairs to our apartment feeling quite unsafe, struggled to see and had to use a torch to find the keyhole to unlock the door.

Driveway into the property was unmade caused extensive damage to front of my vehicle when entering recommend getting it relayed as soon as possible

The spaciousness. The shower and water pressure. The kitchen and fridge made it easy to cook. The parking space made it easy to park your vehicle (not designed for large vehicles but parking also available on the road.

It was too hot in the flat during one of the hottest weeks of the year. Despite the thermostat, the house needed a fan. May hear neighbours if they are noisy but doors can be closed to minimise noise pollution.

Location and buses to Oxford were amazing! Location was quiet. Pubs in walking distanced. Place was clean and modern, which was great. Tea and coffee plus UHT milk in fridge.

No hangers for clothes, no major biggy to us, but if it bothers you, take a couple. The blinds in the bedroom let a lot of light in, so again if this bothers you go prepared. I hope it doesn't detract you though as it was a great stay!

This is an extremely well equipped almost brand new 1 bedroom apartment. (It's a new build, not yet visible on Google maps). It was great to have my own space, and really nice that the living room / kitchen and bedroom were completely separate spaces. The kitchen is well thought out and supplies of pots & pans made cooking really easy. The washing machine and dishwasher are also very good and fairly easy to use. Supplies of washing pods and dishwasher tablets were much appreciated. The fridge and freezer were very clean and of ample size. Heating (what little I needed in the May weather) was great and hot water also plentiful. The broadband was good and some of the subscription services on the TV were available to use, though it was trial and error to find out which were available and which were not! The location was great for work in Oxford, being spoiled for choice with Kidlington or Bicester bus access (equidistant from both route stops). I never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus during my entire stay.

Key pickup was a disaster. The keys were NOT in the lockbox. I waited outside for ages and another tenant could see me struggling and informed me that they saw my keys in the door of my flat. This was no good to me, since the outer door to the building was locked. They let me in eventually, and I was able to retrieve the keys. Most supplies were good, but there was no bleach for the bathroom and not enough toilet roll for my stay. I had to replenish both at my own expense. Some disposable kitchen towels would have been great. The flat is on the top floor, so the sloping roof can occasionally catch you by surprise. I did bang my head a few times. All TV is via broadband, so "freeview" options are limited, but adequate. Although I enjoyed my stay, and I got messages hinting at a 10% discount for my next stay, I did try to book it again for a few weeks later and found the price had gone up by nearly 100%. 10% off a 100% price increase is not a discount! Reward loyalty (and at least compensate me for the key hassle), and I might come back!
