Seaside guest house a stone's throw from the beach

Spotlessly clean self contained accommodation. Lovely beach within walking distance, super dog friendly pub near by (Smugglers). Great bus service into Teignmouth with bus stop just outside. Bonus with home made scones with clotted cream and jam left in the fridge and an incredibly warm welcoming host Donna for both me and my dog. I would definitely go back.

The walk to the beach is down a steep hill, fine for me but some may find it hard going walking back up.

I have fibromyalgia and I am on a budget. Also on my own with just a little Jack Russell. What I loved, cream tea on arrival, milk in fridge, price was excellent and location allowed a gentle flat walk into Teignmouth in the morning and with free WiFi I could rest in the afternoon and catch up with films. My dog loved the beaches and small courtyard garden. Accomodation was compact, perfect for our needs. Very clean, I brought my own throws as Jack russell sheds but noticed a pest plug in to deter any additional lodgers. My dog is fully flea treated but reassuring to see this attention to detail. Dawlish Warren is just a short drive away and again excellent beach. Thank you for providing a safe, comfortable weeks rest, much needed and very much appreciated.

I was self catering, however managed okay with just microwave and fridge and also there was coffee pods provided which was another lovely touch. Struggling to find a negative, two people may find it a little too compact but was perfect for one and dog.

The hosts are such wonderful pe, the apartment was perfect for us. The whole area had a power cut and they gave us candles and also offered for us to move to the main house as they had heat. Upon arrival Donna greeted us and the facilities were great, including milk, tea, coffee and a lovely cream tea. We had to cut our stay short due to a family emergency but they were concerned about us driving home late at night, such kind, caring people. We would recommend people stay in their apartment. Thank you Donna and Brian, it was lovely to meet you both and your offer is perfect.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

This is an excellent short stay accommodation. It is a very short walk from the beach and you can walk along the sea wall to Teignmouth. I also went to Dawlish Warren and Haldon Forest Park (very expensive parking at the Forest if you have a van) Donna and her husband were very welcoming and the cream tea was a nice treat. It’s very dog friendly and I enjoyed playing ball on the beach with my dogs. Thank you Donna.

Not a thing not to like just a heads up to no cooking facilities in the property apart from a microwave. There’s a nice pub ‘Smugglers Tavern’ a short walk from the property, however, which does good food and is very friendly.

Host had turned the heating on before our arrival and left a cream tea with milk in the fridge.

This is our second visit and once again Donna exceeded all expectations. Donna is very friendly and extremely amenable. We are very lucky to have found Donna and her wonderful place! Very dog friendly. Thank you Donna for providing such a wonderful place we wish we could stay forever
