The Pheasant Lodge Spacious Lake District Retreat near Cartmel

The host went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and the property exceeded our expectations. Our family have a holiday home in the Lake District but we will definitely be keen to stay at the Pheasant Lodge again. Thankyou

Everything was top notch

The accommodation was beautifully decorated and spacious and had all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The property is even better in person than in the pictures. All the directions and instructions given by the host were perfect and there was a guidebook with extra information about the local area, places to eat, etc. We had a fantastic stay!

There isn't anything to dislike. If I'm being really picky, the bathroom has a bit of water damage to the floor and behind the sink, but it isn't anything that would stop me from booking to stay here.

It is a great private location with a superb garden in the countryside away from the tourist spots.

This is an amazing find for our short family journey in the Lake District. The house is so beautifully and comfortably decorated, and all rooms have high ceilings, so spacious and clean with views to the beautiful garden. It also has everything you need, we’ve enjoyed every bit of the house! The lodge is quite secluded within a semi gated estate. It is such a great place to evade the busy touristy scenes and have a relaxing and peaceful time enjoying the countryside. It is very easy to find and really accessible with a car( I’d say it would be really challenging if you are going with public transport). It only takes you around 20 mins to Windermere, with so many gastropubs within 15-20 mins driving distance. There are a lot to do just around the area, the welcome book is so impressive and has everything you need to explore the area and for your stay in the house. On top of that Hannah also sent very clear instructions prior to our arrival and responded really promptly to our questions. And the town Cartmel is definitely a hidden gem, the Cartmel race is held every summer from May to August, it was a real shame that we didn’t get the chance to check it out, must be a fun event to catch.

The rooms, the decor, the equipment, the space around the house, the gardens outside, easy to drive to the lakes!

The house is set in a beautiful location, close to Cartmel and Lake Windermere. There are so many walks to explore, as well as some amazing pubs and restaurants to enjoy. The house is beautifully decorated with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend!
