Great location, very good breakfast and although the hotel is ageing it is is very comfortable. The staff is friendly and attentive.

No credit card was asked for at the time of booking the hotel through Booking.com. However, as soon as I booked I received an email asking me to pay a 50% advance on the room. This was an unexpected move by the Hotel and grossly unfair because if I wanted to cancel the room I would have to pay a cancellation charge. After I complained someone from the Hotel called me and said that they would not insist on an advance but then I later received another reminder. I did not pay an advance and stayed at the hotel as planned but the whole episode left a bad taste. If the hotel is keen to avoid people booking and not showing up then they should transparently ask for a credit card upfront.

Energy level at reception was low leading to slow check-in n checkout procedures even if staff appeared friendly

All was very good First visit following renovations and re-branding. Brilliant hotel lovely facilities reception and restaurant staff went over and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The food was very good and fresh. They have lots of facilities and own restaurants. The view is amazing, enjoying the riverfront view. I highly recommend this place!

Size of the room, very polite and helpful staff

the bathroom has all dated stuff, the shower head was broken, the shower curtain was quite high letting whole bathroom getting wet and slippery, the sofa chair was broken, only one working electric socket, TV connections were loose not working, the towels were very old and rough (desperately need changing to new ones), toilet seat was loose moving too much from side to side, room service for food was pretty slow and food too oily.
