Carey's Bar & Farmhouse Kilkenny Border

A very comfortable apartment on a farm in the village with handy supermarket nearby. Well equipped modern kitchen and wet room , and cosy bedroom. Immaculately clean. The Stanley Stove was a lovely feature and kept the apartment very warm. Friendly and generous hosts who live next door. Travelling alone, I felt very secure here. The M9 motorway has very little traffic and provides easy access to lots of interesting places nearby including the lovely River Barrow.

La fattoria è leggermente fuori Kilkenny (circa 30 minuti). Appena arrivati siamo stati subito accolti da una struttura nuova e pulita con possibilità di parcheggio all’interno. La host ci ha fatto fare il giro della fattoria facendoci conoscere la sua famiglia, inclusi tutti i suoi animali, inoltre ci ha fatto vedere come dava da mangiare ai suoi vitelli appena nati. Un’esperienza unica, consigliatissimo.

Het appartement was knus en goed uitgerust. Aardige gastvrouw en gezellig hondje. Klein landelijk dorpje, maar wel met supermarkt. Lekker gewandeld.

It was just perfect for a friends' getaway and catch up. Easy to find. Gentle location in natural surroundings. Run by good people. Super facilities. Well thought out. Warm, airy, with a lovely vibe. Sun shone through the bedroom window. Extremely comfortable beds and bedding. Effective, easy to use cooker and hob. Good shower. Just perfect!

Nothing to not like!

Nestled in a farm court yard opposite the church of Ireland in the tiny village of OldLeighlin on the Carlow Kilkenny border. Easy to find & ideal for touring around Carlow & Kilkenny. The midlands has lots to offer on its doorstep. The small but perfectly adequate fam house is attached to the working farm with parking in a secure yard. Kitchen, bathroom and bedroom with 2 double beds. Bathroom has a disabled accessible shower. Our host Olive was there to meet us and talk us through house facilities and local attractions. I had my rescue dog Charlie with me and there were places close at hand to walk him.

Quiet, warm and clean place. Lovely and cozy place to stay for the night.
