"10/10 Oaxaca Stay"

10.0

This is a beautiful property with everything just as described. I thought it may be farther from the main attractions in Oaxaca Centro but it was so easily accessible to everything and in a nice and quiet location. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, clean and trendy. The showers had good water pressure and there was plenty of hot water. While we didn't end up using the pool/hot tub, the water was warm it would have been lovely to use. There were so many great spaces across the property to hang out – two living rooms, several outdoor spaces, a wonderful kitchen. The photos on booking.com do not do the property justice. And pro tip – it's much cheaper to book through booking than through airbnb so this was a great value for 6 bedrooms with 6 en suite bathrooms. The host was very responsive to anything we needed and let us drop off luggage early and keep it at the property post check-out time. Also the house keeping service was 10/10.

My only complaint (barely a complaint) is that the house is a bit dark. Our group was attending a wedding and there wasn't great natural lighting for things like doing makeup. Hardly a real problem though!

"Perfect for weeklong group gathering"

10.0

This house was perfect for gathering my family for a week long birthday celebration. Six beautifully decorated rooms (each with en suite bath and mini split aircon), lots of great places to hang out, and a quiet but convenient location in the Centro. Extremely well-equipped kitchen, including a blender, microwave, convection cooktop, but no oven. There was a fantastic cleaner who came every day to see to our needs. To say a bit more to help anyone reading this understand the layout: Ground floor has sitting room, kitchen, the cacti-planted courtyard you see in the photos, and another lovely back courtyard with a dining table and the ability to hang a hammock. Two bedrooms are off this courtyard: one king room, and one regular. Stairs lead to a second level, where there is another sitting room (with flat screen TV) and three regular bedrooms. Up a half level from this floor is what we came to call the lower terrace. It has a bar (with sink, mini-fridge, and bar ware) with four stools, and some chairs with side tables. It overlooks the street and the old aqueduct. Up another half flight and you on on the dipping pool level. At the back of this level is a king room penthouse (for the birthday girl) with a covered patio with table and four chairs in front. Lots of room to spread out, lots of places to be together or alone.

Kitchen is a bit tight for serious cooking for a group and for cleaning up after a group meal. Aircon only in the bedrooms.
