Beautiful traditional maltese house in a quiet town, near the north Gozo coast. We loved the garden and the peaceful atmosphere of the place. Totally recommended if you want to scape from the busy touristic places.

La maison est vraiment magnifique, que ce soit dans son agencement, sa décoration, ses équipements ou sa situation. Le village est très calme mais on y trouve tout le nécessaire pour faire des courses ou aller au restaurant, avec une vraie vie de village. Pour se déplacer, tout Gozo est à un jet de pierre ! Guère plus de 15mn en voiture. Je crois que nous sommes tombés amoureux de l'endroit... Merci !

The courtyard and the quirky layout

Le charme est une maison ancienne en pierre dans une rue calme. Communication facile avec la propriétaire par SMS. La cuisine et le séjour et les deux chambres et la salle de bain sont à l'étage avec accès extérieur. Parking gratuit facile dans la rue.

En hiver ce n'est pas très approprié car il ne fait pas très chaud. D'autant que au rez-de-chaussée il n'y a pas de chauffage. Mais dans les chambres on peut chauffer en payant le chauffage en plus

When you first walk through the door, you are greeted with a beautiful garden which is both warm and welcoming. To the right you have a well with an assortment of herbs which the owners encourage you to use. To the left you enter into the open plan kitchen and dining room. The kitchen is very well stocked with herbs, spices and utensils. The welcome pack includes water which, after a long journey, is very much appreciated. From the dining room you enter the TV room via an almost castle like stone arch. The TV room has an assortment of books and games as well as a TV. It is very welcoming and it is visually very pleasing and soothing to the soul. From the garden you have 12 stone steps which lead the two very large bedrooms and the bathroom. The steps have a banister of succulents which drape over the sides in a delightful (safe) manner; an oasis of colour and fragrance. The two bedrooms are uncluttered but practical with a good amount of cupboard and wardrobe space. Both bedrooms have air-conditioning and the master bedroom includes a ceiling fan. These keep the bedrooms cool and comfortable. The beds are some of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. There is a small charge for the use of the air-conditioner. It cost us about €1 per day to use. We especially liked the fact that from the bedroom you get a wonderful view of the garden and you get a variety of colours as soon as you open the door. The bathroom is very spacious and includes a washing machine. The washing machine is one of the best we have ever used. There is a generous amount of towels and toiletries. The property is extremely clean and very inviting with excellent WiFi signal around the whole house. The hosts are very helpful and friendly, and are only a telephone call away. They love to help and they make you feel as though nothing is a problem. You may think I am waxing lyrical but you really, really have to experience it for yourself to see what we are raving about.

The pillows were a little soft for our liking but many people may prefer a softer pillow so this is just personal preference. There is no ceiling fan in the second bedroom so we took the fan from the TV room and placed that in the bedroom. This is again just personal preference as many will find the air-conditioning to be more than acceptable.
