THE NOOK NORFOLK - Cottage in Sedgeford

We had a fabulous stay at The Nook. The deco was amazing, it was comfortable and it's in a prime location, with a lovely, dog friendly pub a stones throw away. The dog treats, chocolates, spritzers and coffee we're a lovely touch.

Totally individual decor. Best cottage I've stayed in for that. I love the stairs light fitting Jo. Would look great in my house. Every detail done to perfection. Well placed for accessing the coast and interior. Excellent communication with the hosts. Will be recommending this place to others. First time in Norfolk too and I loved it. Such a contrast to the Peak District where I live. Much kinder to my older legs when hiking and biking!! Plus excellent, sunny and hot weather...who could ask for more? Super!!

Nothing. Only down side was me badly spraining my ankle in Wells after 4 days. I was grounded in the cottage for 2 days which is why I appreciated the lovely decor. Shuffling around on my backside added an extra sheen to the wooden flooring!!

Cosy little place in a great location with lovely views out over the Norfolk countryside. We loved the wood burning fire (which shouldn't have been necessary in the middle of July, but was), the tastefully done decor and all the cosy cottage feel. Bed was very comfy too. We'd definitely stay again!

We had a bit of an issue getting into the property as we didn't receive the key code in advance and arrived late - so make sure you've got that! There was some road noise but nothing too unbearable.

Beautifully curated and decorated. It was spotlessly clean, and extremely well equipped. Lots of really nice little touches.

The decor and coziness. The eco-friendly elements. It felt like a loving hug on a cold day.

My partner kept banging his head on the lights and spent all weekend walking with a stoop/slightly hunched over. He’s not particularly tall. The door frames and centre lights are very low. At the entrance to the property is a rusty old table and chairs which make a rather dubious first impression. Once inside the property and upon reading the very useful and well presented manual (thank you) we realised why they were so worn, however we still didn’t feel tempted to use them.

The cottage has been lovingly renovated with consideration for every detail; from the revealed brickwork, artistic decor and cosy rugs, to the fire burner, lighting, and well-designed bathroom. This is especially true in terms of sustainability, offering biodegradable or natural supplies, as well as endless options for local food and beverages to support both the local economy and environment. The location is perfect to access the coast as well as inland market villages and rolling countryside. Fantastic coffee and tea, and wonderful to be greeted with little treats for both hoomans and furry friends on arrival. We really appreciated the chance to bring along our dog too, so we felt it was a true family holiday! We look forward to arranging our return as soon as we can - thank you for having us.

A score just under 10/10 purely because: - it would benefit from a pouffe to put up your feet of an eve. - I find a microwave is convenient, but accept this might not fit with the sustainable ethos. - conscious of disturbing neighbours as the front door and terrace is directly in front of next door's window. I appreciate this is the nature of cottage living. - the garden gate could do with the number '3' just for clarity. We could work it out because of the description in the guide, but it might not be as clear to others.

Beautiful decor, very interesting touches and attention to detail.

Lovely cottage, the decor so goes with the cottage, simple but homely. The log burner super, heats the room quickly, makes the room even cosier. There’s a booklet to read, tells you everything you need to know and a little history about cottage. Nice touch. There’s a small garden to relax in, all fenced off. Parking off road and next to cottage. Easy to find with sat nav. While I never met the owners, they were very helpful, sending details to assist us to enjoy our stay. Also responded very quickly to an enquiry.
