the host is unresponsive to my booking and i did not stay at the property

I booked this properties around before 6pm 27 sep 2024. After I booked, I called the property number that mentioned in booking the owner answer and ask me to whatsapp him. Before I have chance to whatsapp him, his staff contact me and offer me different property since the unit that I booked have leaking and they dont have technician who can fix asap. I ask her to send video and from the video that unit don’t have balcony which the one that I paid have balcony. So I called customer service ask about policy cancellation, and they contact property and property dont want to accept the cancellation, so short story I accept the offer. So by the time I move from Ipoh to the third property they offer it was a bit late, but i saw from check in policies in the booking.com the check in time until 12.00 am. I did mentioned to owner about the distance and he said his staff will let me check in. Before i left my place , his staff send me procedure to check in ( where i have to go to letter box, get the key and deposit before check in). So on the way to this property the staff text me asking if i can make it before 11pm cause their customer service offline at 11pm. I reply no cause i still on the road, and she ask me to deposit first. By the time I arrived the owner property and his staff missing in action. They not even provide me the letter box number and block. So i had to wait there 30minutes keep calling them but no one answer so i had no choice to book another hotel ( walkin) cause i need to sleep. Of course, another cost. So this morning when I woke up there is no respons from the property, so i text him and ask and oh my god! The owner said no refund due to his staff mentioned that i have to be there before 11pm , and guess what they not even share me the changes property policies.
