The location was great. Birgu Lodge was nice and clean and a perfect place to stay for a couple.

Not enough crockery. Had one glass and one plastic cup.

The room is beautiful and the design is old and beautiful. The location is great in Valletta. The price is good for a cheap room to have for couple of days and the view from the rooftop is beautiful. The room unfortunately wasn't clean and the mattress was dirty and smudged with red wine and other dirty spots we didn't want to know what they were. The carpet on the floor next to the bed smelled bad. The price is cheap and good for the city but definitely has to be cleaner because that's the least what you expect in a room.

Fabulous location with lovely views from the shared roof-terrace/jacuzzi. Comfortable bed and spacious accommodation.

Every aspect of the apartment and roof terrace needed a deep clean, with grime and dirt on floors/rugs/shower and outside furniture. It's a shame that previous feedback regarding this has not been acted on, as the actual apartment and its setting are so lovely... A few days of labour bringing cleanliness and maintenance (eg plug sockets and shower) up to a higher standard would allow you to charge a significantly higher amount for this accommodation.

Spacious room with a kitchen and a bathroom. It was well equipped with all the necessary appliances. There where a hot water all the time. Good location.

When we arrived in the evening, room was not ready. We had to wait for an hour to come in. When we finally got an access to the room it had clean bed, but surrounding was still dirty. We asked the owner to clean room again and it was done next day. So it’s good that personal was reacting to out requests, but in other hostels we shouldn’t even ask about so basic things as clean towels, floor or suitcases.

The location was not bad.

The apartment is in a good location. However, it had a very strange smell—almost unbearable when we first entered. We had to air it out immediately. The host does not respond to messages. We even contacted Booking, but no one has replied yet. Honestly, this was a waste of money. The apartment was also very dirty. We were woken up at 4 AM by other guests running down the stairs, as unfortunately, everything can be heard. There was also wine in the apartment, supposedly priced at 18 euros per bottle. However, one of the bottles was already opened, half empty, and placed back. We took pictures immediately upon arrival to avoid any accusations that we drank it ourselves. Very very bad apartment.

The owners put a lot of thought into it. Nice pieces, great location, hot shower, beautiful rooftop hang out area, great jacuzzi!

If you arrive at night for the first time, there are descending steps to lobby, motion sensor light comes on but not until a bit later- just use your phone torch xx
