I love the house so cozy and comfortable. You can hear the Marie walking around out back at night.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. The host checked in on a daily basis.

Huck's Hideaway was private and cozy. The beds were comfortable. The place was clean.

The house was comfortable and spacious

In the beginning, we realized we had no kitchen light and the microwave was broken. After we put the lights out and went back into the kitchen, there were roaches everywhere, running down inside the coffee maker and all over-the-counter countertop. I was very disappointed on how booking.com handled the issue. I called very late at night to report that we would be leaving early and I still have no sign of a refund for the second night that we didn’t stay.

The location and tranquility of the place. The property was in good condition

The hygiene was absolutely unacceptable. The kitchen utensils and drawers were filthy, and dust covered every surface. The back terrace was impossible to use due to the dirt. The refrigerator had food scraps and mold. The oven was so dirty and infested that it was unusable. The bathroom drains were full of mold, the microwave didn’t even work, and the sofa was stained with food crumbs. On top of that, the listing promised basic personal hygiene products, but there were none. No shampoo, no shower gel, no conditioner—only a small hand soap and dish detergent. When I contacted the owners about this, instead of solving the problem, they told me to drive to the nearest city to buy them myself. Completely unprofessional. The listing is also misleading. It advertises two bathrooms, but in reality there is only one full bathroom and one half bath. Even worse, the “house rules” were not disclosed upfront. Nowhere did it say that guests must clean the kitchen, collect all linens and towels, and put them in the washing machine. Only the day before check-out did I receive a message stating these “conditions,” along with the threat of a $75 fee if not followed. This is dishonest and unacceptable. Overall, this place was one of the worst rental experiences I’ve ever had. The lack of cleanliness, misleading information, and unprofessional attitude of the owners make it completely unworthy of recommendation.

I love this place so close to all the springs. The property itself is lovely this was our 2nd time staying and we will be back again next year
