All impressive!

The hotel is not only beautiful, but the location was excellent and lush. The interior decor was amazing and the room was huge and clean. The bathroom was perfect! The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was terrific and changed some every day. The garden and pool area were perfection!

The property was beautiful with wonderful gardens and a wood lot Trail. We had a view of the ocean. It was previously a manor and all the rules are beautifully done . There was a swimming pool and a sauna. It was a bit cool in the season for us to use. The breakfast was excellent. Staff were very accommodating and informative. They were always available for questions. We don’t want to leave and would definitely come back again. By the way the parking was fabulous. They have their own secured parking lot.

This is a beautiful property, historic but with modern comforts and plenty of space, both inside and outside, to relax. We didn't use the pool or the jacuzzi as the weather wasn't too warm, but they look lovely. It's in a fringe of town location but so long as you are reasonably energetic and mobile you can reach the centre of Ponta Delgada on foot in around 25 minutes. The hotel breakfast was really good. We didn't try much from the light meals menu and what we had was fairly basic, but we did use the honesty bar, which is a useful-to-have facility. We found all the staff members to be very friendly and helpful and they went out of their way to provide early breakfast for us on our last day. Our room was extremely large with windows on two sides - very comfortable. Parking is on site and you are given a fob to get in and out of the car park.

Unfortunately there were some stains on the fabric headboard covering in our room, slightly offputting but we looked past it. The bathroom door is glass and if someone uses the bathroom during the night the light will spill out into the room. Again, not a deal breaker for us but noticeable. The honesty bar was a bit expensive at 4 euro for a tiny beer, but it was convenient.

The grounds are amazing, the room was really nice and the staff were great too!
