Villa Mary, relax nel cuore del Chianti

The location was good. Great views.

I had high hopes for this B&B based on the photos and reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. The biggest issue — and one that completely overshadowed the rest of the stay — was the ongoing electricity problems throughout my visit. Power would frequently cut out without warning, sometimes for hours at a time. This made it nearly impossible to charge devices, use lighting in the evening, or even shower comfortably since the water heater was affected. On one occasion, I was left in complete darkness at night with no explanation or apology from the hosts. While the room itself was decently clean and the location charming, none of that matters when you can’t rely on basic amenities. I wasn’t offered any compensation or even a sincere acknowledgment of the inconvenience, which made the situation feel even more frustrating.

The location was great with pleasant views. The living and dining room was good and outside garden and outdoor seating was very nice.

The kitchen facilities were limited if you wanted to use the oven you couldn’t because there were no racks. Only six of everything which meant you couldn’t not use the dishwasher as you needed the plates and utensils immediately. The place was not cleaned very well particularly in the kitchen. Lastly, there is a large bed but the mattress is so hard it is impossible for anyone to sleep on it.
