ZAThe apartment is wonderful - spacious and welcoming. An authentic Maltese apartment but fully modernised, with new kitchen appliances, 2 bathrooms, widescreen TV, free wi-fi - everything we needed. The location is perfect - just a few minutes walk along cobbled streets to the centre of Valletta.
Nothing could be improved. My only suggestion is trivial - please add a soap-dish in the second shower.

The early morning church bells were much louder than anticipated. Quite dark apartment despite having a small outdoor space. No light in the stairwell, so needed to try and work out the lockbox numbers with my phone torch, and needed a phone torch to put key in lock every time we exited and entered. I also was concerned with digital security, when asked to upload ID prior to my arrival, as I have never needed to do this before on Booking.com I verified with Booking.com before doing so. Not sure why this is necessary.

I thought we were scammed on arrival as we never received check in details after arriving to Malta after delayed flight at 8pm. We had to contact UK booking.com to be assured we would be provided alternate accommodation after failed attempts to contact this property by designated telco who were based in Italy. It looked like it was being managed by Italian property company and the person obviously didnt send us the details as promised by midday. After chasing them and booking.com we got a call eventually to walk us through the check in process..it was stressful and a disappointing start to a process that could have been more straightforward and professional. We were woken every morning at 630am, 645am by church bells which were like in the room with you...be prepared for early start. Also the 'free' taxi that was part of booking.com offer and who met us at the airport had a different address to the apartment which was all automated...so further confusion that needs to be rectified and aligned

GBThe apartment itself was in a fabulous location on the edge of the old town and was very comfortable although a bit dark. It was disappointing that there was no liquid soap or shower gel provided in the bathrooms as the rest of the apartment was well equipped.
We were disappointed that we were not advised of the Lockbox code until so late. We advised that we would be arriving between 12-1 but we did not receive the code until after 2pm, despite repeated requests, so we were worried that it might be a scam. It would have been helpful to have known the day before that the code would not be provided until so late. The apartment is right underneath the bell tower of the Carmel Basilica so we had a rude awakening of church bells before 6am every morning. We also thought it would have been more comfortable if the lounge had an extra armchair and the kitchen had a toaster with four slots rather than two.
