I have contacted the owner directly about the room which was given me. It was pretty awful as well as the bathroom I was assigned..Bathroom with no hot water and clogged sink and bedroom with many "quirks" such as lamps that don't light making it hard to find bed in the dark, "sitting room" very small and I felt dingy and I put towel on sofa before sitting on it. Outside keypad had no light making it impossible to see numbers on Keypad. I mentioned to owner that the room needs painted as it is drab... However, food was good and Josh a good host. IAfter I got over initial shock of such a weird room, I had to laugh and chalk it up to one weird adventure. Probably not in my future for lodgingadventurwpad
USJosh made us a wonderful breakfast each morning. Our room & the living room were very comfortable & relaxing. I loved how quiet it was there. We were the only people there at that time but the house is just peaceful & quiet. We really felt at home - a different experience from a large hotel.
Not really a negative but it was a little strange to be alone in the house with no one really checking on us. Could have used a clean towel maybe. It was ok though. I had a text number.
USJosh is an absolute joy. The housekeeping is immaculate! The breakfast was top notch!
Some more information displaying the history of the house and the people the rooms are named after. We kept having to Google or ask Josh.

USThe beds and pillows were comfortable. Might not be great in the summer, as the bathroom for the larger room wasn't attached or air conditioned.

Rooms dated and could use some repair. Bathrooms across the hall not in room. No staff on site at all except for the morning cook for breakfast but he was awesome (Joshua). No one to check you in or out or answer questions very odd.
USPretty much everything. Josh was amazing and accommodated our schedule when we unfortunately were out of opening hours. He was very kind and helpful. The house is beautiful and well maintained and clean. The breakfast was amazing.
Check-in closes early but it was ok because Josh helped us out.
