The views from the property were stunning and each bedroom had their own balcony and lake view and it’s a very quiet location. You enter the property using a key code given to you on arrival by the owner and with this key code you are also given a link to an electronic guest book which is very detailed and gives you all the necessary information for your stay. WiFi was perfect. Communication with the owner was very easy and reliable. You enter the property by some steep stone steps, possibly 5-6. There is no direct outside parking/drop off this can be done 2 minutes walk away in the car park of the nearest church, St Michael the Archangel. You enter the property on the first floor where there is a kitchen/dining room and the first of three double en-suite with shower room. Downstairs is the laundry cupboard with washing machine/tumble dryer and sink and the sitting room with TV and a small balcony, again with lake view. On the top floor there are a further two double rooms both en-suite shower rooms with a long shared balcony, seating and lake view. The steps up to these rooms however are steep and to be taken carefully.

The only thing we didn’t like was that the apartment is in a small village with no supermarket, pharmacy or local amenities. We didn’t have a car and relied upon the local bus services to get around. There aren’t any pavements either in the village so when the traffic is busy it can be quite dangerous for pedestrians.

Very good location the view was amazing beautiful, and also we like the ducks in the nighttime like security guards looking after the neighbourhood searching for food, and they were arguing sometimes who can eat the food fast.

Everything was perfect

Beautiful setting- looking over the lake and down a lovely little winding street. Clean and comfortable. Quiet - well away from the crowds of other towns along the lake.

Nothing- it was perfect! We didn’t have a car so relied on the public bus which was great apart from during ‘rush hour’!

The entire checkin process of all the documents, selfies and then a WhatsApp video call verification process. We walked into the apartment and it was filthy, the floors were not washed, hair on the bathroom vanity, toothpaste left behind. The kitchen was very dirty. We were notified on the way to the apartment that half of the kitchen was out of order. The dishwasher, oven and several outlets were having electrical issues. The pans and cooking items that are there for use are not usable. No blackout curtains in bedrooms There was a terrible musty smell in one of the upstairs bedrooms and in the adjoining bathroom there is mold. The parking key had a three on it so we parked in the garage with a three. On our last morning we woke up to a very very angry lady threatening to call the police as we had parked in her spot. Each time we reached out to the property managers at ‘my home in como’ they were responsive but not at all helpful. They offered to have cleaners come back, we said yes and then after leaving the house all day so it could be cleaned properly, we came back to only one of the three levels cleaned. Meaning the kitchen and living room were still dirty. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else and not managed by my home in como!
