Nice place if you want to have a local experience. Spacious house with most of the necessary electronic equipment.

They have problems with cockroaches in the bathrooms. The terrace, especially in the evening, you can't sit because of the strong smell of sewage. It's quite cold in the rooms, they should have some duvets, not just blankets. The neighbors have dogs that bark when you least expect it. Regarding the parking space, the statement is false. It's not just on the property, it's on the street, sometimes you find it, sometimes you're forced to park far from the house.

Heavy rain is rare in Tenerife but Storm Olivier came through while we were staying. The access to the upper bedroom is via an outdoor staircase making movement a wet experience. The upper balcony also leaked into the corridor below. This occurrence is probably rare because the rain was particularly heavy. Parking can be tight along the street.

The laundry room had smelly drains initially. After a day or two with the window open it was much better. Most of the sharp knives in the kitchen are not sharp

Lovely, spacious accommodation away from the tourist crowds. The owner provided clear instructions for gaining access to the house, and we found a bottle of water and a bottle of wine awaiting us upon arrival. The owner also kindly left toilet roll, kitchen towels, bin bags, travel soaps, toothbrush packs, and sachets of shampoo. Such thoughtful touches that we really appreciated. There were loads of towels of all sizes, and the whole place was spotlessly clean when we arrived. There is a laundry room with washing machine which I don't believe is pictured online. Follow the written directions and you won't have any problems working the washer. There's also a portable cot, clothes drying rack and extra folding chairs for guests to use. There is no living room at this house. There is a kitchen/dining room, a sunny courtyard with BBQ and table & chairs, and three bedrooms. Each bedroom has a flatscreen tv with satellite, Netflix etc. We designated the smaller downstairs bedroom as the "living room." The sofa bed provided seating for only three of our party of five, but we made it work. Not a problem for couples or small families. This is not a criticism of this property in particular. SO many places sleep six, but only have sofa seating for 3/4 people. The upstairs bedroom is huge, with a full bed & a sofa bed. This room could easily double as a living room or family suite with the addition of another sofa/sofa bed. A family or group of friends would then have a place to congregate for 6+ people. San Miguel village is lovely, and the people are very friendly. We were the only tourists there when we visited in April. We appreciated that it is a safe & quiet residential area. This is not the place to come to party all night! You will need a car if you stay here as the roads around the house are narrow and hilly. We found it a good base for visiting the Monkey Park, Los Cristianos, Golf Del Sur & local restaurants.

We really enjoyed our stay. The only thing we missed was having a sitting room for our family on the couple of rainy days we encountered in April. We were the first guests here, but I hope the owners will keep the salt, pepper, sugar, spices, vinegar and oil that future guests leave behind for incoming guests. It's such a small thing, but it means so much when you would like to cook at at your home from home! Tips: -The shower in the master bedroom DOES have hot water- the taps are just labelled wrong. Hot is cold, and cold is hot! The water pressure was fab with lots of warm water for a couple of showers back to back. -The oven DOES work, you just have to push the dial on the left in when you turn the dial on the right on. 👍 Overall, this stay was very good value for money and we truly enjoyed our stay in this peaceful mountain village. I thank the owner for all of the thoughtful additions and I hope many more travellers get to enjoy this traditional mountain home.
