My husband and I were trying to locate our room, as the directions printed on the paper (for some reason) were obviously a rough translation from another language. While I was running up and down stairs to locate said room, a white SUV pulled up next to my husband’s work truck. Being up on the (open) second floor walkway, I was able to see and hear every little thing. The white suv driver rolled his window down and cussed at us to move our truck because we were “blocking his parking in front of his room”. My husband rolled his window down halfway, smiled almost half embarrassed, and told the other vehicle, “just one second, please, we’re trying to find our room.” The people in the white SUV (2 large Mexican men and 1 larger than life Mexican woman) got out of their vehicle at the same moment… throwing hands in the air, yelling and cursing at my husband for not moving RIGHT THEN. The three people were approaching our driver’s door YELLING threats that each one of them was going to, and I quote, “beat the fucking shit out of this bitch.” They even tried to open his door!! One of the men had a handgun in his fist. I was TERRIFIED to say the least. We weren’t even there/checked in for 6-7 minutes before all of this happened! We did not go back up to the room. Some of my things we left behind because WE BOTH felt unsafe and were put into an extremely unsafe situation. We went straight to the kiosk type front desk person, explained in great detail everything that happened. Oh, I also requested to see the video of the altercation. The Extended Stay in Snyder, TX has GREAT cameras that did, in fact, record everything, including sound. I was denied any access of the video/audio. The front desk person accused US for a reason unknown..

My search was for a dog friendly hotel and I said yes to “Are you traveling with your dog?” but when I arrived to check in there was a sign that said NO DOGS. I was too tired to find someplace else so my poor dog spent the night in the car. I didn’t sleep well and we left by 5:15a.m. No soap in the bathroom and no coffee.
