Mukam at Kanak Vilas, Jaipur

We liked structure & ambience of The Mukam home stay. The small courtyard is very nice. Breakfast was a good offering. We had lunch and food was really good, fresh & delicious. The staff is courteous and helpful

In case the main electricity supply is cut off, there does not seem to be a back up power at the facility. The lack of electricity does impact the water supply in the room too. This needs to be taken care of by the property.

The property in itself is pretty and we liked our room. It was spacious enough and we had a nice view on a park/garden. Bed was very comfortable. The rest of the hotel is nice as well and clean. Restaurant food was nothing special but it was really convenient to have that option.

Communication around breakfast was confusing. The first day we went for breakfast at 8am but nothing was ready and we had to wait another hour for the buffet to come. Second day the buffet never came and we ended up understanding we had to order ourselves. It would be easy to explain to explain to the guests how the breakfast process work to avoid that situation. The biggest problem has been the other guests staying at the hotel. A group of 8-10 people were being super loud in the lobby and corridors until late in the night (2am). It’s not normal that the hotel staff did not ask these guests to be silent earlier in the night. Same thing happened the night before with two other guests.

the rooms were clean and large with adequate AC

We stayed in room 8 which was located directly below the water tank and pump( located on the roof). The water pump cycled on and off continuously making sleeping close to impossible. The staff turned the pump off only upon request which interfered with others guests’ usage. Hot water tanks in each room were small which resulted in limited hot water for showers. Stray dogs outside our hotel contributed to our inability to sleep.

Excellent ambience and comfortable stay. We had booked two rooms and got an upgrade to accommodate the family in adjacent rooms.

Location opens to a very busy Moti Dungri road and the street is poorly lit and with stray dogs. Loud Azan in the morning and evening from nearby mosques.

Great location, we felt safe and the room was beautiful and clean. Restaurant food so also delicious

The taxis the hotel organise are very expensive. We used Uber to pre book an early morning flight taxi and it was much cheaper so would recommend to use Uber rather than going through their taxi service who also tried to charge me another 500 rupees on top of their existing high price
