Location was quiet and bar / restaurant next to it

Unmanned reception area throughout stay no staff and had to go to restaurant next. Inconsistency with staff over paying bills. No proper structure. Told to pay restaurant and accommodation bill later. Our friends who were with us were woken up by staff to pay the bill late evening. They didn’t pay as they needed to check with us if the bill was correct. We had breakfast the next morning and went to pay the bill at reception, which still was unmanned and the lady in the breakfast room came to take payment. We explained what had happened also we thought the breakfast was included in the price. The manager/ admin staff came over very rude to us. No apology for waking our friends and said we should have paid last night. We have never stayed in a place where they demanded payment before departure unless stated. Booking. Com had our card details on the booking. They should have staff in reception to greet guests when they arrive and depart and have the bill ready when guests depart!!

Breakfast was very good - pastries were excellent.

The dinner was average and portions enormous.

Very close to the Le Shuttle at Calais.

Everything was wonderful, the room and breakfast superb. Staff very friendly. The whole site was very clean and felt spacious. Will hopefully return with my family in the future.

No one at property when we arrived so we went shopping and returned later

Lovely grounds and very peaceful. We were there out of season so a little quiet but what we expected. A lovely place to stay! Great restaurant!!

Unfortunately our room had a stench of dead mice (as a partner in pest control, I know the smell) . Sorry to say but we had to have the windows open and heating on full to try and air the room - if we booked to stay more than one night I would have had to leave!
