La Terrazza sul blu di Capri

Our first day was a totally nightmare . After a full day of traveling ,in the middle Italian summer with 40C outside we arrived in the apartment and we found out wi-if was not working and we couldn’t have a proper shower because of no hot water cause of the pressure of the water . We had to wait a full 24 hours the issues to be fixed. On top of that the floors of the apartment were completely dirty and we absolutely couldn’t walk barefoot and cause of that the next morning I had to run in the local pharmacy to buy medicine because I’m dust allergic . Cherry on the cake mattress was very uncomfortable and were two singles putted together and no one queen . We took pictures and videos of the issues. We contacted the owner of the house asking to refund us the first night because it’s was unacceptable pay over €230 for an apartment with no shower and with such a a bad cleaning condition. She refused to refund us . We will not come back .

The property is brilliantly located not very far from Piazzetta on the one hand but in a quiet “crossroads” without bustling and noisy crowds right in front of a very good grocery market and a fair cafe with gelati, coffee and panini. It’s a “historic” building where a famous French writer used to stay some 80 years ago, the apartment is very clean with nicely looking sort of antique sideboard with “grandma’s” cups and silverware… it’s all good. The terrace “sul blu” is also a great plus. The check in process was relaxed and hassle free. Last but not least was management”s efforts to address my request..Grazie Mille for this!

Being a very snug nook the apparent misses badly one crucial thing - an AC. Once we started living there I double checked on booking com, NO, AC is indeed not mentioned among the facilities and amenities.. this even could not have come to my mind to doubt that a summer cottage in Capri may not have an AC. When it’s plus 35 outside and plus 28 in the night… MOLTO CALDO. the manager quickly addressed that and bought 2 fans in two rooms at my request, with a fan it’s better, but with all open windows and doors it’s still hot, lots for mosquitoes and we almost didn’t sleep the first night before the fans were bought. Someone might also not completely love the mattress on the double bed for being saggy yet still hard.. and sofas in the other room are way too soft for me..

Excellent location, super easy check in with great communication from the host who checked in a few times to make sure everything was ok. Very clean and spacious, facilites excellent. Very convinient with a cafe and supermarket literally next door. Huge terrace with great views!

The only point would be advertising this as a 2 bedroom property, as it's one bedroom with a living room with 2 sofa beds. We didn't mind for us, and the listing do state that there's a double bed (2 single beds pushed together) plus 2 sofa beds, but there is only 1 bedroom and 1 living room.

The apartment is located away from the hustle of main Capri square and port which I loved. It is situated high up catching nice breezes and a stunning wide view of the island and the sea. Apartment is spacious and cool with a large balcony. Washing machine was a nice bonus. Supermarket opposite and nice cafe next door.

Kitchen facilities no really enough to prepare your own meals but sufficient for basic needs.
