Serenity Square - Wow location central Brighton sleeps 4

It was a spacious and clean apartment. The beds were comfy with plenty of towels. The living/dining room was just right. The kitchen was well equipped, with everything we needed, a joy to cook in. With just 4 or 5 steps up to the front door, it was manageable for me - I use a walker. In the hallway, there were little spaces where we could leave cases when not in use inside the flat to keep them out of the way. Just a couple of streets away down to the seafront (by i-360(?) and one just out of the Square left to Western Road ar right to Churchill Sq and buses it was ideally situated. There are plenty of food shops and takeaways nearby. We loved our stay and will definitely be booking again for next year.

A warning of scaffolding outside the apartment would have been nice, but it made it easy to find. While we appreciate the 'keep the noise down' policy, the Square is on a cut through (noisy at night). And other people in the flats above let the door slam every time they went in or out. The fridge door made noises until it dropped into place (but worked fine). The lights in the kitchen were haphazard. We didn't know if they were on the way out or a fault. Oh, and no blind in the shower room, while this maybe wouldn't bother most people, with the toilet being directly infront of the window, I had to cover the window for privacy for my autisic daughter. (There were fittings but no blind in place). It is worth noting that none of what we 'didn't like' was reported to the owners at the time as it wasn't too much of an issue. I've placed it here just so they can address the odd bits like blind and lights in the kitchen. I expect noise from people coming in and out.

Had everything we needed but tiny for 4 people.

There was a hole in the plasterboard in the hallway.

The apartment was very close to the centre. The place was very clean but the beds were very uncomfortable, very hard, couldn’t sleep on the sofa because that was to uncomfortable. They were our only issue.

It needs to be more comfortable and have mattresses that are not so hard. We normally stay in a premier in. There because you know your get a good nights sleep.

The only great thing is the location near the beach, i360, shopping areas like the Lanes and North Laibe with a few walking minutes. And it was clean, the kitchen well equipped.

Considering the high price the apartment is shabby and neglected, painting peeling away, stains on the bedroom wall, a hole in the wall, no wardrobe for clothes, … it is depressing and disappointing to enter this apartment. We travelled three weeks through England, Scotland and wales and this was one of the worst apartments, sorry to say. But the price is much too high.

The location was incredible. The shops and beach were both a five minute walk away. The property was clean and exactly as pictured
