J&S Downtown Sky Attic House

Clean, lovely decor, quiet. Easy access to get bus to main city. Great little local pub.

Really low ceilings (hit head several times), tea making facilities and bathroom on separate floors to bedroom.

The hosts were very friendly and responsive.

I chose this property because it had very high ratings, but I had different expectations based on the reviews and description. - The description was not explicit that the bathroom was the only bathroom in the building and shared with the hosts; it was on a different floor than the guest room - The attic stairwell and guest room have very low ceilings and you will hit your head unless you are extremely diligent (I’m very short so I was okay, but my male partner is an average height and bumped his head a couple times). Definitely do not recommend staying here if you are tall. - The apartment sits on top of a 3-story walk up, so not the best fit if you have a lot of luggage, heavy luggage, or mobility issues - The neighborhood is described as a central Belfast in Booking but it is really East Belfast and not walking distance to downtown. It might be okay to walk during the warmer months if you’re okay with walking 20 - 30 mins, but too cold to do so in the winter. - The apartment is in a residential area and parking is first come/first serve; there is no designated parking spot and you need to feel comfortable parallel parking on very narrow streets - We arrived around 9 pm on a Sunday and there were no restaurants open in the neighborhood, so we had to drive and ate downtown. It would have been helpful if the hosts had given us a heads up about that based on our arrival time. We were only able to find food just in time before the restaurants closed because we had a car. - The room was freezing our first night. We let our hosts know after we couldn’t fall asleep; they were very responsive and brought us a blanket and a space heater; the next day was much better as they made sure we were getting heat out of the radiator

Lovely host, incredibly clean and a nice bed where I got a good night's rest.

Good location in East Belfast. Easy to walk for east side Belfast and city centre. Very nice hosts. Nice apartment and good separate bathroom.

Made feel very welcome by the lovely couple who live here. Nice touches with crisps and other snacks in the room.
