The Garden Room at the Manor

Very peaceful, with lovely view through wisteria into the garden. All very clean, and host welcoming. Very good base for exploring the villages to south and east of Leicester, but close enough to get into the city centre in less than 30 min, yet still very rural.

This property is absolutely gorgeous, set in a beautifully peaceful garden. It was 5 star in every possible way, and included all the little touches that matter when you’re away from home. Annette & Anthony are such lovely warm, friendly hosts and made us feel so very welcome.

What a lovely place to stay! Very quiet, peaceful, relaxing. Room was a bit larger than expected from the photos and very homely. Huge comfy bed. All very clean. Super kitchenette facilities. Floor to ceiling windows overlooking gardens. It’s a great base for going out for walks and there’s a place nearby with cafe / bistro / deli type businesses. So all very handy. The hosts are really nice, very accommodating and answered our messages promptly. We needed a romantic get away and this was just right

Scored it 9, reluctantly though, as we would have given a definite 10 only for a couple of things that may be important to some bookers to know. 1) The shower and toilet room are really small, without opening windows and the water pressure is not the best. People with pain or limited mobility might struggle in there, and if you have a lot of long hair like me it might take a while rinsing out the shampoo and conditioner! Some hooks on back of door but no where to put things down or sit. 2) The floor to ceiling windows in the bedroom are fantastic - but there are limited opening sections. It was fine this time of year (Feb) but I imagine, for me anyway, it’d not be enough air in hot summer weather without sleeping with the main door to outside open. Other than those things it’s a wonderful place to stay

Lovely hidden gem, nice walk to cafe, garden centre and a selection of quaint shops. Highly recommend

Sink in Toilet was not great for washing, brushing teeth but can understand that it was very good use of space and didn't detract from stay.

Such a beautiful room with everything we needed. A fridge with a small freezer section, microwave, crockery, cutlery, tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits, even a bottle of fresh milk from the local farm. Being able to view the garden from the huge windows was gorgeous. We were welcomed so warmly by Annette, and was so accommodating.This stay couldn’t have been any better.

That we had to leave

The Garden Room is set within large beautiful gardens. Our hosts, Annette and Tony, were really lovely, very friendly, and welcoming. They put a selection of groceries in the kitchenette ready for our arrival. The open-plan room was light, airy, and spacious. The bedding was sumptuous; a step up from the standard bedding found in most holiday accommodation. Would certainly look to stay there again if in the area.

The kitchenette was adequate for our short stay as we only had our breakfasts there. But be aware that there's only a microwave and toaster for cooking and no cupboard to store food in, just a narrow shelf to put things on. We'd taken a cool bag so used that to store food in.

A delightful property that was ideal for our two night stay. Clean, well equipped, with a wonderful view into the garden. Annette is a lovely host.

The Garden Room was perfect for our needs. Lovely space for a few nights in superb surroundings. Great sleep & nice and quiet. In addition, the hosts were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Wonderful!!
