IECatherine is a brilliant woman and an absolute pleasure to stay with. She kindly upgraded our room, which was such a thoughtful touch and really made our stay feel extra special. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel completely at home. She’s warm, welcoming, and genuinely cares about her guests. You can tell how much she adores her sons, and that same kindness carries through in everything she does. She also gave us great recommendations for places to eat, drink, and visit, which really helped us make the most of our trip. The room itself was extremely clean and so comfortable, we slept great. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water, which made a big difference after a long day. Everything felt easy, relaxed, and homely. If you’re looking for a place with real heart and a host who goes above and beyond, Catherine is exactly that. Would happily stay again.
IEIEI had the most amazing stay at Catherine’s House by the Sea in Dungarvan. The place was absolutely spotless — you can tell so much care goes into keeping everything clean and comfortable. The rooms were cozy and welcoming, and the beds were incredibly comfortable, I slept better here than I do at home. What really made the experience, though, was Catherine herself. She truly goes above and beyond for her guests. She kindly dropped us into town, picked us back up after our night out, and even took the time to show us some lovely local spots. She is such a genuine and thoughtful host. To top it all off, she left us fresh bread for toast in the morning even though we hadn’t paid for breakfast — such a kind gesture that didn’t go unnoticed. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough. I’ll 100% be staying here every time I come back to Dungarvan — better than any 5-star hotel!

IEA lovely, clean, and cosy room in an ideal spot! The bed was very comfortable and the host was incredibly welcoming. It’s perfectly located for both the beach and Dungarvan town, with the added bonus of ample parking. Highly recommended!

IEAbout 11km outside Dungarvan, Catherine's Place by The Sea was perfect for my 3 day stay. The apartment was self contained with its own en suite and Catherine had left some special touches like home made bread and snacks as I was arriving late for which I was very grateful!
GBThis property is amazing .. the host is incredibly helpful and lives at the property but the “appartement” is totally self contained. The en suite rooms are sparking clean .. the beds are exceptionally comfortable… there is a sitting room with a kettle fridge and microwave and dining table … perfect for a relaxing stay .. the situation of the property is ideal for a stay in Dunvegan .. with a car of course
