Lovely little house. Really cosy loved the fire. The facilities were fantastic it has everything you need. Location was brilliant and literally round the corner from everything you need. Julie communicated before attending and met us at the property and was lovely and friendly!

Location excellent, right next to the castle and very close to shops and main square of the town. Comfortable beds and clean.

The kitchen table was very skinny so hard to sit around for a meal. Also the stairs are very steep but that is to be expected in the style of house it is, just be prepared for a steep climb. Easy to manage though for the average person.

great park with castle right behind property, lots of pubs, close to train station to go for day trip event to york. friendly town.

very narrow stairs to get up to two floors to bedroom, we left luggage in the living area

Warm friendly welcome on arrival. The location was central to everything we wanted to visit. The overall property was fantastic, and the bed was comfy. We will definitely be returning.

"Fantastic location"

The cottage is beautifully presented in a perfect location for shops, cafes and the nearest pub is next door! Minutes away from the Castle and park and just up the hill from the riverside.

Overnight parking is 7 mins' walk away (but cheap and a nice walk). Details will be given by the hosts. Steep stairs if your mobility isn't great.
