"Charming room and helpful host"

Lovely charming and comfortable room with a helpful friendly host. Volterra is a beautiful town and the location of the property is very good.

Would be nice to have a small fridge and a kettle. If you have large bags it could be difficult to get from the parking to the property. We packed a small bag and carried that instead.

It was fun to stay in a medieval apartment block. Fabulous chandelier. Excellent communication from host about finding the place and finding parking.

Hugely overpriced. There are two hotels with pools, views and aircon within two minutes walk that would have been cheaper (my bad for only finding them when we were there!) Plumbing issues meant the pump went off at 1.30am 2.30am and 3.30am despite us following the instructions on the toilet (we finally unplugged it at the wall). Didn't appreciate being told I was expected to give a positive review! I understand that the owners want negative feedback one to one, but feedback is for other travellers too! All this would have been cool at 50 or even 70 a night but when you click that the four star hotel opposite is cheaper...
