Door lock looked like it could be easily opened. We underestimated the effort it took to get there from main road. This is worth it for the view and the isolation you get. Not necessarily negative, just keep it in mind.

Heerlijk ontbijt, beste van onze vakantie. Vriendelijke kok. Mooi uitzicht bij ontbijt en kamers.

Een hinderlijke geur op de kamer geeft een minder hygiënische indruk. Buiten dat is kamer basic. Fyi: Ella centrum 10 min stappen via steilere kleine weg.

La vue superbe depuis la chambre et le petit déjeuner. A proximité immédiate du centre ville tout en restant au calme. Le personnel attentionné. Un très bon petit déjeuner, la literie.

La proximité de travaux actuellement (sans désagrément sonore)

Uitzicht was mooi, 10 minuten lopen naar het dorp.

De kamer was niet heel schoon. Er lag nog eten in de koelkast en de bedden voelden beetje groezelig. Er was ook nooit iemand aanwezig. Guest house ligt nu in een soort bouwput, kunnen ze niks aan doen natuurlijk. Het stonk ook erg, zeer muf. Ontbijt was prima. Vonden het erg tegenvallen en snappen de goede recensies ook niet goed.

The hotel is rooms only - no other facilities, So should cost less. The rooms are currently next to a building site which may have been the restaurant area/bar. There is a lot of building in Ella at the moment in anticipation of future tourism.

The location and view were amazing.

It was unfortunate that they are in the middle of building works, once this has been completed, the venue should be much improved. The owner was also open to more suggestions which hopefully will also enhance a visitors experience. Both this guest house and the surrounding buildings are undergoing renovation. The whole of Ella is developing fast, with building works all over, I hope they keep the charm of the village, as the location is amazing for its natural beauty and beautiful people.

The host was so friendly and welcoming and the room (delux double) was absolutely beautiful. The views are magnificent as were the delicious breakfasts! We saw so many birds and other wildlife from our terrace. With a quick no more than 10 minute walk into Ella it was perfectly situated! The host also helped to organise a trip to Udawalawe national park much cheaper than other places!
